R&B girl group TLC are back after nearly an 8 year hiatus with a new album called '20' and a biopic of their journey to becoming the Grammy winning trio.'Crazy Sexy Cool: The TLC Story' is VH1's first biopic in nearly ten years, following Michael Jackson's 'Man In The Mirror; The Michael Jackson Story' from 2004.

The biopic follow the girl's early beginnings in Atlanta, their rise to fame in the 1990's, the turmoil of their fame and the tragic death of Lisa Lopes, who was fatally injured in a car accident in 2002. A talented young cast who portray the girl group are Keke Palmer as Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas, Drew Sidora plays Tionne 'T-Boz' Watkins and Lil Mama take son the role of the late Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes.

Caralene Robinson, VH1's senior vice president, spoke about the new biopic to The Hollywood Reporter, "This is the biggest support that VH1 will put behind a one-time event this year," referring to the upcoming film's huge publicity push. "We're hugely excited about it. It really leverages everything that's special about VH1: connection to pop culture, our music heritage, and we're basically telling the story of one of the greatest R&B groups of all time."

Lil Mama was most definitely feeling the pressure of playing their deceased band mate Lisa Lopes, but 'Chilli' has nothing but praise for her portrayal, she told ABC News "when we first saw her (Lil Mama) audition tape, it was like ok, that's it, she's the one".

The group also spoke to The Associated Press stating, "It was kind of scary. The resemblance was just crazy at times. Naturally, she kind of had some of the similar characteristics like Lisa. It was kind of eerie at times for us."

'T-Boz' further discussed the process of seeing someone else play their real-life journey on film, "You never know how you look to someone else until you see for yourself," 'T-Boz' said. "It was weird. It was very weird seeing my haircut on Drew. ... To see them do our dance moves really took us back."
