Blink-182 Will Tour The UK In July

Blink-182 are set to tour the UK in July.

The 'All the Small Things' hitmaker's will take to the stage next year for a 10-day gig, which will start in Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena on July 3 before drawing to a close at London's O2 Arena on July 19.

This news comes after the punk band released their seventh album 'California' earlier this year, which comes two decades after their debut album 'Cheshire Cat'.

An email from former Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge to Hillary Clinton's campaign manager John Podesta has emerged from almost exactly a year ago on WikiLeaks, discussing a documentary relating to the existence of UFOs. In the email, DeLonge asks Podesta to get involved in the project.

DeLonge introduces himself in the email as 'The one who interviewed you for that special documentary not too long ago', suggesting that the two had met in the past, before going on to explain what material he had lined up for the project and requesting his involvement.

Blink-182's Mark Hoppus felt relieved when Tom DeLonge quit the band.

The 44-year-old singer songwriter has admitted he was ''disappointed'' when his colleague of 23 years made the decision to leave the group last year, although he has revealed a weight was lifted because he had noticed Tom wasn't happy performing anymore.

Speaking about the departure to The Sun newspaper, he said: ''It was a relief when Tom decided he didn't want to be in the band.

Blink-182 have have topped the UK album chart this week, for their first time in their over 20 year career. California, the pop-punk- trio's seventh studio album, is now their biggest charting record in the UK to date, beating Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, which reached number four in 2001.

Speaking to the Official Charts Company, the band said: “We’re so excited and thankful to be Number 1 in the UK. This is the first time we have ever got a Number 1, and we are super thankful to all of you for supporting us.”

More developments in the crisis currently surrounding Blink 182. After bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker made the announcement on Monday evening that lead singer Tom DeLonge had been ousted from the band, the erstwhile frontman gave his reaction, saying that he had “tried everything” but “hadn’t talked in months” with his bandmates.

In an open letter to Blink fans on his official Facebook page, in which elaborated on his initial statement that he “never quit the band”, DeLonge began: “The truth is always a good place. Let’s go there.”
