The Drops of Jupiter stars count the legendary band as one of their biggest musical influences, and now they're hoping to do them justice with Train Does Led Zeppelin II, a record featuring their renditions of all the tracks on Led Zeppelin's second studio album.

As a result, frontman Pat Monahan and his bandmates will be tackling classics like Ramble On and Whole Lotta Love.

Monahan reveals he and his pals came up with the idea after covering Led Zeppelin II during a concert earlier this year (16), but he admits it was much more difficult to replicate the supergroup's iconic songs in the studio.

"They are so hard to record, especially when you are trying to get as close a version as you can to the original," he says in a statement. "The mixes, the time that they put in, it’s crazy how great they were as a band. They were virtuosos at what they did. I would love it if people get a dose of what’s hiding underneath Train’s songs, our influences, but we basically did this for the fun of it."

Train Does Led Zeppelin II is due out on 3 June (16), with all proceeds benefiting Family House, an organisation which supports families of kids suffering from cancer.
