Fact: All Eyez On Me, the Tupac Shakur biopic, will be released in the U.S. on the late rapper's birthday, 16 June (17). Shakur, who will be portrayed by newcomer Demetrius Shipp, Jr., passed away in 1996 following a drive-by shooting.

Fact: A 1996 Hummer which once belonged to late rapper Tupac Shakur has smashed auction estimates after it was placed up for sale at RR Auctions in New Hampshire. The vehicle was expected to sell for around $100,000 (£69,000), but ended up with a winning bid of $337,000 (£232,000) from a mystery buyer, reports TMZ.com.

Fact: R&B star Chris Brown has paid homage to slain rapper Tupac Shakur by having the lyrics to one of his tracks scrawled on his Lamborghini. The Kiss Kiss singer hired artist Huero for the job and he spent 16 hours handpainting the lyrics to Lord Knows on the star's sportscar. And to make sure Brown didn't upset too many people with his colourful ride, he asked Huero to remove all the expletives and N-words.

Fact: Madonna marked what would have been her friend Tupac Shakur's 43rd birthday on Monday (16Jun14) by attending a preview of new Broadway musical Holler If Ya Hear Me, which features the rap icon's songs. The show, about two young men dealing with life and tragedy, officially opens at the Palace Theatre on Thursday (19Jun14). The hip-hop legend was murdered in 1996 at the age of 25.

Fact: Late rapper Tupac Shakur has been immortalised in wax at London's Madame Tussauds. A new figure of the hip-hop star was unveiled by British rapper Chip, the artist formerly known as Chipmunk. The Shakur waxwork joins figures of Snoop Dogg, The Notorious B.I.G. and Sean 'Diddy' Combs at the London attraction.
