The Rack City hitmaker was told by a judge to hand over the huge sum to cover unpaid rent on the property, which sits in a gated community in Calabasas, California.

However, the hip-hop star alleges he was actually in the process of buying the home and had placed a $200,000 (£125,000) down payment on it, and it has now emerged he is suing for breach of contract.

In legal papers obtained by People magazine, Tyga's lawyers allege he and the landlord entered into an agreement in September, 2014, when the cash was put in escrow to begin paying for the $8 million (£5 million) home.

The dispute is the second time Tyga has fallen foul of rent arrears - in June (15), he was ordered to pay $80,000 (£50,000) over an outstanding bill on another property.
