A security guard who was injured during a stampede at Ultra Music Festival earlier this year (14) has filed a lawsuit against the event organisers.

Erica MACk was hospitalised in March (14) after she was crushed by thugs who toppled a gate to enter the dance music festival in Miami, Florida without tickets.

MACk suffered a severe brain haemorrhage, two skull fractures and a broken leg.

She filed a lawsuit on Monday (27Oct14) against several respondents including bosses of the festival, parent company Event Entertainment Group, City of Miami management organisation, and fencing company Carlson Fence.

MACk is seeking at least $10 million (£6.3 million) as well as legal fees for gross negligence, plus breach of contract against Event Entertainment Group bosses.

The future of the festival was at risk following the incident, but officials announced it will return in March, 2015.
