Undercut Doing Fine Single

Bristol five-piece Undercut refined their sound in an aircraft hanger, after their initial members met at an open mic night. They've already received radio attention of both sides of the Atlantic, and played to a very impressive audience of 2000 at Ashton Court Festival in their hometown.

The near-frantic pace of "Doing Fine" is the basis for an intriguing track that seems to have all the right ingredients – energetic, hypnotic guitar, pounding drums – but never really blends together coherently. On the other hand, "Butterfly" is a fantastic song, with a sombre bass suddenly lifted by a quirky riff with a dance flavour. It is the stronger of the two offerings, and makes Undercut a band worth checking out.
