Legacy Recordings, the catalogue division of Sony Music Entertainment, has acquired the rights to 50 albums by the Brown Eyed Girl hitmaker and 33 of his discs, spanning from 1972 to 2009, will be made available on streaming platforms such as Spotify from Friday (28Aug15).

Morrison's albums will also be restored on music download service iTunes after he originally pulled them from the digital service in 2009.

Adam Block, president of Legacy Recordings, says,"Van Morrison is one of the great singers, performers and musical artists in the history of recorded music. Legacy Recordings is proud to partner with Van to help him protect and curate his astounding catalogue and to be given the opportunity to bring his music to whole new generations of fans around the world."
