Embattled rapper T.I. has penned a fictional novel for teenagers.
The Live Your Life hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., walked free from an Arkansas correctional facility on Wednesday (31Aug11) after serving 10-months of his 11-month sentence for violating probation last year (10).
The star is set to serve the remainder of his sentence at a Georgia halfway house - a residence dedicated to helping convicts begin their reintegration into society in a monitored setting.
T.I. recently announced his plans to share his post-prison life with fans in a new reality TV show on U.S. network VH1 this December (11), and now it appears he'll be extra busy this autumn (11) because he has also signed a book deal.
The rapper has partnered with publisher HarperCollins and Janet Jackson's biographer David Ritz to write Power & Beauty, which will hit stores in October (11).
The novel will tell the tale of two childhood friends torn apart by "dangerous dealings" on the streets of Atlanta, Georgia, according to the Associated Press.
Meanwhile, the rapper has reconnected with fans via Twitter.com, taking to his blog on the social networking site hours after his prison release.
In a series of posts, he wrote, "The storm is over & da (sic) sun back out. It's Our Time To Shine Shawty!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!
"Feels great to be back where I belong...Back in the arms of those who need me the most."
