Set to release her debut EP 'Teenage Witch' on September 8th 2017 through Lucky Number, London newcomer Suzi Wu (whose real name is Suzie McDermott) has dropped her very first video for the single 'Taken Care Of'.
Directed by Shiny, the video features her dancing erratically through the streets at night as stunned passers-by look on. The song premiered on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show, and already people are loving her 'rough around the edges' aesthetic, with the punk flavour melting seamlessly into the rhythmic dance melody.
Produced and mixed by biLLLy, the EP also features a title track co-written by Suzi and William Brooks, 'Jockey Full of Bourbon' written by Tom Waits and 'Speed'. The singer has revealed that the album is inspired by Simon Hanselmann's comic book works (an award-winning cartoonist from Tasmania most famous for his 'Megg, Mogg and Owl' comics), and her own nocturnal lifestyle in her late teens.
