The fun never stops for DC fans. While currently mid-way through season two of 'The Flash' and season four of 'Arrow', you can now explore what some of those epic minor characters are up to in the spin-off crossover series 'Legends of Tomorrow', which premiere yesterday (January 21st 2016) on The CW.

Legends Of TomorrowMeet the Legends of Tomorrow

From the producers of 'Arrow', 'The Flash' and 'Supergirl', 'Legends of Tomorrow' only gives you brief glimpses of Oliver Queen and Barry Allen because this show is focused on the time-travelling inventor Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) and his motley crew of superheroes and rogues. They're on a mission to save the future of mankind after it's revealed that Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) - who has already appeared on both 'Arrow' and 'The Flash' - has managed to dominate it 150 years into the future.

Savage has already been resurrected several times (he's 4,000 years old), but his mortality rests on the shoulder of Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), and so naturally Hunter recruits them for his rescue mission. Hunter isn't receiving any help from his own people; the Time Masters have no time for future mishaps because they are far too busy protecting time itself. However, there are at least plenty of others out there willing to join him.

There's The Atom, also known as Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), who's a filthy rich inventor with the ability to shrink himself; White Canary aka Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) who's based on DC Comics' Black Canary and who appeared in 'Arrow'; nuclear physicist Professor Martin Stein (Victor Garber) and former athlete Jefferson Jackson (Franz Drameh) who together make up Firestorm; and Leonard Snart (Wentworth Miller), or Captain Cold, who uses a freeze ray alongside his counterpart Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell), aka Heat Wave, who is an arsonist.

With his team finally assembled, Hunter brings them to 1975 to seek advice from Professor Boardman and discover where they can find Savage. However, things are most certainly not that easy. These guys are more like anti-heroes and Hunter is soon forced to admit that a bounty hunter named Chronos is after him for defying Time Council orders. Plus, it turns out that there's more to his desired attack on Savage than just the end of the world. It's partly a revenge assault for the murder of his family.

Part two of the pilot episode, directed by Glen Winter, will air on January 28th 2016.
