The Producers Behind The New Tv Show Based On Wes Craven's Scream Movies Paid Tribute To The Late Horror Film Icon As The Series Finale Aired Just Days After His Death.
The Nightmare on Elm Street filmmaker lost his battle with brain cancer, aged 76, on Sunday (30Aug15) just two days before the killer in the final installment of Scream, the horror TV show based on his films, was unmasked on Tuesday (01Sep15).
The season one finale featured a tribute to Scream creator Craven, who was also an executive producer on the MTV show.
Alongside a picture of the director, a message added, "In memory of Wes Craven 1939-2015. Thanks for the screams."
