'Chicago Fire' stars Eamonn Walker and Taylor Kinney led arrivals at the 2015 NBC Upfront Presentation held at Radio City Music Hall in New York. The series began in 2012 and follows a group of firefighters in their day to day life.

No surprises in this weekend's box office, but it was a relief for Hollywood.
Not much to report from the box office after this week – despite all its manpower, Expendables 3 just couldn’t outgun previous chart toppers Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Guardians of the Galaxy and ended up fourth in a line of new releases and return champions. The Turtles continued their reign with a respectable $28,4 million on their second outing according to Rentrak (via The Huffington Post).

Guardians trailed only slightly behind with $24,7 million. In a slight disappointment for Marvel, the superhero space opera lost its lead in just the second week to the CGI-heavy TMNT flick. Even so, on its third week, GotG has reached an impressive cume of $222 million for distributor Walt Disney. Coupled with TMNT’s earnings this should enough to restore some faith in the 2014 summer box office from studios. For comparison, August so far marks a 14% increase in profits since last year, which of course concerns the average moviegoer roughly 0%.

The third installment in Stallone's franchise has found its director and is set to begin shooting later this year.
Australian director Patrick Hughes has been named by Sylvester Stallone to helm his newest writing endeavor, The Expendables 3. Nothing is official just yet though, as Hughes still has to win the approval of Millenium, the studio behind the Expendables franchise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hughes will be flying in shortly to meet with studio heads, but the director is pretty much a shoe in for the gig.
Hughes is a newbie in the director’s seat, with one feature film on his record – a critically acclaimed 2010 thriller, which starred Ryan Kwanten as a city police officer on a thrill ride of a first day in a small country town. So, while he might be lacking in experience, Hughes isn’t exactly a wild card and Stallone probably knows what to expect of his work. It will be interesting to see how he handles the fast-paced action genre, though. However, with a cast this packed with famous action men, The Expendables can probably be carried on acting alone.
A lot of the stars of the previous two films are expected to return for The Expendables 3, including Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren. Some rumored additions to the already star-studded cast include Wesley Snipes and Jackie Chan. Stallone is currently in the midst of penning the script, with shooting expected to commence sometime this summer.

Visually and atmospherically, the video game-like vampire-action sequel "Blade II" is slick, dark and cool, yet it doesn't take itself too seriously. The flick's fancy-schmancy martial arts fight scenes even incorporate low-brow wrestling moves like the pile-driver.
But strip away its elusive sense of humor and its expensively hip Hong Kong-spawn sheen, and what's left is a sloppy plot, lifeless characters (no pun intended), and elementary execution masquerading as something more.
Based on one of those now-ubiquitous comic books set in a dusky, dingy alternative reality, the movie is about a vampire hunter who is half vampire himself -- he has all the usual bloodsucker powers but he can go out in the sun. Wesley Snipes, sporting a flamboyant flattop coif, wrap-around shades and a black leather duster, reprises his title role from the 1998 original, which was pretty much nothing but blood-splattered nightwalker-daywalker showdowns set to a rave music beat. Knowledge of that movie isn't a prerequisite for this one, which is a marked improvement while still being saddled with all the same problems.

Cool as dry ice, Wesley Snipes comes off a two-year action movie hiatus like a bad-ass, black-belt James Bond with some ghetto in his blood in the opening scene of "The Art of War."
Dressed to the nines for a well-heeled Y2K New Year's Eve party in Hong Kong, he's doing a little workaday blackmailing of Chinese government officials when he is spotted by security and has to kung-fu his way out of there before parachuting off a skyscraper to escape.
Somebody shoots holes in his chute, but while Wes lands safely, the movie crashes face first into the pavement.

A gratuitous wise-cracking sidekick and a tummy-baring, tight-top-wearing eye-candy vampire hunter have been added to the cast of the sequel "Blade: Trinity," but it's the gal (Jessica Biel) who gets most of the laughs, albeit unintentionally, with her lethargic, ludicrously inept kung-fu fighting.
Playing the hitherto unknown hottie daughter of Whistler (Kris Kristofferson) -- that crusty veteran of the underground vampire wars who is mentor to the titular half-vamp Wesley Snipes in all three "Blade" pictures -- Biel can't swing a convincing punch or kick to save her life.
But giving Biel a run for her money as the movie's most absurd character is ironic indie-flick darling Parker Posey, disastrously cast against type as the leader of yet another tiresome uber-Goth vampire faction that pouts around in skyscraper hideouts when they're not busy reviving their millennia-old master.

Jennifer Lopez has talked about the difficulties in beginning her film career, when she had to film a sex scene with Wesley Snipes for the 1995 'Money Train', when she never really wanted to film the scene. Lopez commended Snipes for his gentlemanly and professional attitude towards her and the scene, yet she still believes that she should have pressed for the chance to not get undressed for the scene.

She explained her horror while filming, by saying: "(It was) horrible. So we did it and it was tough. Wesley was wonderful about it in the sense that he was like, 'What's gonna make you more comfortable?' and I was like, 'Bring music, play it loud.'"

Ex-boyfriend of actress Halle Berry, Christopher Williams, has grown tired of the allegations that he beat the movie star and instead suggested that it was Wesley Snipes.
Wesley Snipes, the actor famously behind the 'Blade' franchise, has been accused of beating Halle Berry during their relationship and causing her to lose hearing in her right ear. The accusation came from R&B singer Christopher Williams who also dated Berry, after he became upset by the number of people who assumed that he was to blame for the abuse.
In an interview with EURWEB, Williams stated "The stuff they wrote about (me) and Halle was totally false. They said something like I busted her eardrum, and I'm tired of it. I never said it (before) but I'm so tired of people thinking I'm the guy (who did it). Wesley Snipes busted her eardrum, not me."
