White Light Parade* - Want You To Know
Bradford alternative rock band, White Light Parade, are back with a brand new single 'Want You To Know' to be released on July 2nd 2012 through Split Records.
The track is a tear-inducing masterpiece formed with the intensely raw vocals of frontman Danny Yates and the resilient sounding guitars that bring a sense of hope to the music video which features a distressed young woman trying to get to her boyfriend who is in trouble.
WLP have come a long way since their debut album 'House of Commons' which received immense praise; 'Wait For The Weekend' won support from XFM and Huw Stephens from Radio 1, 'Riot In The City' was selected to feature on the 22 million selling crime videogame 'Grand Theft Auto IV' and 'Young Believers' was chosen by Us sports network ESPN as the title music for their baseball games. Danny Yates explains how this new album has taken the band in a different direction. '[The debut album] was all about our way of life, and the state of the UK at the time', he says.
'Our first stuff was angry, punky - about life in a small town, struggling in the recession. The new stuff is about looking inside yourself, questioning yourself'.
Although different in so many ways, White Light Parade* have maintained their raw talent and expressive lyrics from their previous album; it's just on a whole other level.
