Whitney Port, former star of the reality show The Hills, became engaged to her boyfriend Tim Rosenman last month. Rosenman, a producer for reality shows including The X Factor, proposed in Australia. She explained, speaking to E!, how her boyfriend of almost two years proposed. She said "It happened a couple of weeks ago when we were in Australia. He proposed in our hotel room. It was super intimate. We went home the next day. I love the ring, it's beautiful!"

Whitney Port
Whitney Port is engaged to her boyfriend of two years Tim Rosenman.

The couple first met whilst they working together on MTV's reality show The City. The show ended in 2010 but Port and Rosenman stayed in touched and finally got together in February 2012.  It seems the couple were destined to get together and Port believes she has found "the one." Port, in her E! interview, said "I knew he was the guy for me, but it wasn't something that I had been expecting. My family knew. He had gone to each member to ask their permission."

As for the event itself, a date is yet to be set but Port is already making plans including designing her own wedding dress! Port claims she wants a "low-key" and "small" event, although she did state it seems somewhat unlikely the wedding will end up that way especially as she has "so many ideas."

Lauren Conrad
Fellow former The Hills star Lauren Conrad is also engaged!

Port is not the only member of The Hills cast to have become recently engaged. Lauren Conrad became engaged to her boyfriend of nearly two years William Tell last month. The former co-stars have been in touch, as Port told E! "We talked, we're both so excited for each other. It's just an amazing time in my life right now." However, if anyone is hoping for a reunion of The Hills cast at Port's wedding, they shouldn't hold their breath. Port told People "I think we all kind of went our separate ways once the show ended."

Congratulations to the happy couple!
