Wilderness Festival 2014 Adds Joan As Policewoman, Slow Club, Chet Faker, Jack Savoretti Plus Many More

Wilderness Festival Adds Joan As Policewoman, Slow Club, Chet Faker, Jack Savoretti, Teleman, Hozier, Josh Record to the Lineup

The gloriously multifaceted and delightfully freewheeling festival known as Wilderness returns this summer for the fourth year, with even more musical, culinary, literary and theatrical hijinks set to take place in the gorgeous Cornbury Park, the jewel in the heart of the Cotswolds.

While the starred likes of Angela Hartnett, Simon Rogan and Sam and Sam Clark among others have been confirmed to cook up a storm for the crowds at the festival, and Oxford Shakespeare Company, the Globe Theatre and BitterSuite will be bringing theatre to the masses, the music program is also beginning to shape up as one of the strongest to date.

The incomparable musical legend Burt Bacharach has already been confirmed to headline the festival, along with award nominated soul-pop trio London Grammar, chart busting electro kooks Metronomy, mind-blowing Kiwi psych-rocker Connan Mockasin, effortlessly moving troubadours Sivu and Jessie Ware, who will be teaming up with the Wilderness Orchestra in her only festival appearance in 2014.

Now, even more stellar names join the spectacular rollcall of talent, with the inimitable Joan as Policewoman leading the charge. With the release of her latest album "The Classic", her position as one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters of recent times is confirmed, and her set is sure to be a dazzling highlight. The folk pop duo of Charles Watson and Rebecca Taylor, otherwise known as Slow Club will also be road testing material from their forthcoming record "Complete Surrender", while Chet Faker will be essaying his gorgeous, mesmerising blend of jazz and electronica. White hot emergent poet turned acoustic artist Jack Savoretti will be casting his compelling spell over audiences, while beguiling art rock threesome Teleman, seraph-voiced new musician Josh Record and Irish artist Hozier, known for his breakthrough hit "Take Me to Church", will all be present and correct as well.

Besides this, there will also be talks, debates and literary forums, activities for families and children including the Roald Dahl Museum and Storystock, and outdoor pursuits such as fly fishing, wild medicine walks, boating and much, much more - you can even treat yourself to a visit to The Sanctuary for some much needed pampering!

The sheer scope and breathtaking array of activities onsite are just some of the aspects that set Wilderness far ahead of the pack, and make it one of the destination festivals on the summer calendar. Make sure not to miss out and what is sure to be an absolutely brilliant experience in 2014.
