Comedy's favourite couple will be officially over very soon.

Will Arnett has filed for divorce against his wife of ten years, Amy Poehler.

The pair announced that they "amicably" separated back in September 2012, but the 43 year-old actor only filed the legal documents on April 8th at a Los Angeles Superior Court, according to People.

Arnett is requesting, in his papers, to award Poehler and him joint physical and legal custody of their two children, sons Archibald and Abe.

Since their separation almost two years ago, they have both moved on with different people.

The 42 year-old 'SNL' favorite is now reportedly in relationship with fellow comedian Nick Kroll, 35, which began early last spring (2013).

The 'Lego Movie' star has been linked with Billy Joel's ex-wife Katie Lee since last August (2013).

This divorce will be the first for Poehler, but will be Arnett's second, who was previously married to Penelope Ann Miller for only one year in 1995.

The comedy duo have appeared in several projects over the years including 'On Broadway' (2006), 'Blades of Glory' (2007), 'Horton Hears a Who!' (2008) and 'Monsters vs. Aliens (2009).

The 'Arrested Development' alum has also gone on to guest star in Amy's hit NBC show 'Parks And Recreations.'

When they first separated, Arnett had a hard time accepting his relationship was over and turned to the gym to distract himself from feeling heartbroken.

"If going to the gym obsessively for eight, nine months was my way of dealing, then let that be my worst problem," Arnett said about dealing with the split. "Life is challenging... All people have been doing since the dawn of time is trying to figure out how to live this life and be happy. I'm no different. I'm 43, and I've found my happiness - which is my kids."
