Lookalike's, Will Ferrell and Red Hot Chilli Peppers' Chad Smith, went head-to-head to on Thursday night's episode of the 'Tonight Show' to end their hilarious feud once and for all. The two stars engaged in a musical battle to determine who the more superior drummer, even though Smith is a professional musician.

Both competitors poked fun at fans, who say they look very similar, by wearing the exact same black leather jackets, T-shirts, sneakers, and baseball caps worn backwards.

As the pair went back and forth playing different rifts, which become more difficult and intense as the rounds progressed, the trash talking began.

"That was cute," Ferrell said at one time after Smith rocked out to a beat. "Do you play for the Lukewarm Chili Peppers?"

But the comedic actor responded with a bang, he brought out a cowbell and was joined by the rest of the RHCP band members in a performance of Blue Oyster Cult's rock anthem 'Don't Fear the Reaper.'

Before their legendary battle commenced, they both joined the host Jimmy Fallon for a sit-down chat about the origins of their feud, each speaking as the other person.

"I can feel the heat coming off of your bodies - the anger, the pent up rage and confusion," Fallon told the studio audience.

"Do you remember where you were when you heard [about this imposter]?" the host asked, to which Ferrell replied, "Yeah. I was jamming. I was jammin' with the Chili Peppers, with my guys. At our jamhouse. I'm like, 'Flea, this is bull. I'm tired of not getting enough respect as Chad Smith.'" Adding, "I'll be honest, I'm a little high right now."

The lookalike chatter began when Ferrell was taking part in a Reddit 'Ask Me Anything' segment earlier this year when a fan noted the resemblance. The rocker then agreed to face him in a drum-off for charity, to determine who the real Chad Smith was, with the money raised going to Cancer for College and Little Kids Rock.
