Will Smith posted a touching tribute to his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, on her 44nd birthday. Smith shared a touching throwback picture on Facebook on Friday (18th September). In the caption, he worked out how many candles he had watched her blow out and how many times he had told her he loved her during the 20 years they had been together.

‘This was taken at your mom's house 20 years ago. That's a long time ago!!! So I decided to do some math...’ Smith captioned the picture.

‘I have sung happy birthday to you 20 times and I have bought you 19 birthday presents (I was mad that one year). I have watched you blow out 693 candles (737 after tonite [sic]). I've told you "I love you" at least 8,285 times. And of the nearly 3.96 Billion women on the planet - there is only 1 that I want to spend the rest of my life with. Happy Birthday, my Love!’

Smith and Pinkett Smith have been together for more than 20 years. They married in 1997, two years after the image Smith shared was taken, and have two children together: Jaden and Willow Smith.

They have remained one of the longest lasting couples in Hollywood. However, their marriage has been dogged with rumours about infidelity and, in rumours circulating earlier this summer, there was even the suggestion that they had separated. Smith was quick to respond to the rumours and issued a statement on Facebook in which he vehemently denied there was trouble in his marriage. Smith’s latest post appears to confirm they are as happy as ever in their marriage.
