Sean Lennon has unveiled the demo for an enchanting new song entitled 'Bird Song', that he claims was co-written by his good friend Carrie Fisher before she died. While they never got to record the song together, he has now teamed up with Willow Smith to unveil it in Carrie's memory.

It's a beautiful piano led duet that is as mournful as it is uplifting, and was recorded in a matter of hours.

Willow Smith has surprised fans by ‘pulling a Beyonce’ and dropping her debut album unexpectedly. Ardipithecus hit on Friday morning and is now available on iTunes and Spotify. The album features 15 new tracks and comes five years after Smith released her first single, ‘Whip My Hair’.

Willow Smith has released her debut album Ardipithecus.

In a statement about the record to Fader Smith said: "Ardipithecus Ramidus is the scientific name of the first hominid bones found on earth. I wanted to name my musical compilation after it because, while I was making these songs I was in such a transitional state.”

Jada Smith has reacted to a photograph her daughter Willow, aged 13, took whilst on a bed with a 20-year-old actor. The image was posted on actor Moises Arias’ Instagram account and showed Willow lying fully clothed on a bed whilst a shirtless Moises held a pillow behind his head whilst leaning on a wall. The picture has since been deleted due to the comments the image provoked on Twitter.

Willow Smith caused a minor scandal last week when Moises Arias posted a picture of the two on a bed.

Jada spoke to photographers awaiting her arrival at LAX. As TMZ reports, Jada said she was furious with the response from the press which has implied there was a sexual element to the picture. She said “There was nothing sexual about that picture or that situation. You guys are projecting your trash onto it, and you’re acting like covert paedophiles, and that’s not cool.”

A picture of Will Smith’s 13 year old daughter Willow on a bed with 20 year old ‘Hannah Montana’ actor Moises Arias has sparked controversy throughout the internet for a variety of reasons. Some are branding the picture thoroughly inappropriate and calling Will and his wife Jada’s parenting into question. Others think we all need to relax, after all there’s nothing actually ‘going on’ in the picture. Inappropriate or innocent, how has one picture managed to create so many thousands of words?

The picture in question, which was posted to Instagram by Moises Arias and subsequently deleted, is a black and white shot which shows the pair laying on a bed. Arias is shirtless, sitting up with his back against the wall, whist Willow is laying further down on the bed, fully clothed with her head resting on her arms. It looks like the kind of ‘arty’ picture that might feature in any magazine editorial or fashion advert. What makes it problematic is that Willow is just 13 whilst Arias is 20.

Will Smith and Jaden Smith at 'After Earth' New York premiere

The New York premiere of Will Smith's new action movie 'After Earth' was almost like a reunion for the actor as several old friends showed up to offer their support.

The event was truly a field day for photographers with celebrities from Wyclef Jean to Bruce Willis making their appearances on the red carpet. Will Smith was the star attraction alongside his son and co-star Jaden Smith, and he also brought along his other two children Willow Smith and Trey Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. Joining them were 'After Earth' director M. Night Shyamalan (the man behind 'The Sixth Sense' and 'The Village'), Smith's co-star Kristofer Hivju, Oscar-nominated director Spike Lee and rapper 50 Cent. There was even an appearance from Smith's former 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' co-star Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Will's rich and very spoilt cousin Carlton Banks. Another notable attendee was genuine NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin, best known for being the second man to walk on the moon in 1969.

Quvenzhane Wallis will follow-up her Oscar nominated role in Beasts of the Southern Wild by taking on the lead role in the remake of the classic musical Annie, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced yesterday morning (Feb 24).

The young actress wowed audiences with her award-worthy performance as Hushpuppy in the Benh Zeitlin fantasy drama, and now the actress is reaping the benefits of her mature performance by signing up to her second post-BotSW role. Wallis will also star alongside Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender in the upcoming Twelve Years a Slave, which follows the story of a New York man kidnapped and sold into slavery in the South in the early 1800's.

Will Gluck, who directed Friends With Benefits, is already attached to directed the remake, which is being financed by Will Smith, Jay Z, Jada Pinkett Smith, James Lassiter and Tyran Smith. Will and Jada's daughter Willow Smith was initially rumoured to be taking on the lead role, but it seems the appeal of having an Oscar nominee star in the film was too much for Will, who will be appearing alongside his son Jaden in the upcoming After Earth.

Quvenzhane Wallis is in line for a lead role in the remake of he musical Annie. Will Gluck will direct, and it'll be produced by Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment, reports Entertainment Weekly.

It's finally happening. Quvenzhane Wallis has been labelled anything from 'future star' to 'miniature force of nature' and it's been months since her performance in Beasts of The Southern Wild was lauded by the critics, and even earned her an Academy nomination for Best Actress (the youngest ever female to be nominated). But since the initial hype, things have died down somewhat with attention turning to some of film's big guns - Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained, for instance. Now, though, young Wallis is being talked about in the big time again, and a role in Annie would surely suit her skillset, which is just about anything, really. We say it's about time the young-but-talented actress was being talked about for big films. 

Will Smith and Jay-Z are set to take a pivotal role in Annie, with the latter providing the score for the film. Smith's daughter, Willow, was also suppoed to feature in the remake, but it turns out 12 is too old. Her father said: "Willow was supposed to be doing 'Annie', we got Jay-Z to do the movie, got the studio to come in and Willow had such a difficult time on tour with 'Whip My Hair' and she said, 'You know, daddy, I don't think so. I have a better idea, how about I just be 12.' "

Jada Pinkett Smith may not be the first person you think of in the activists for freedom of speech, nationwide liberation or active feminism, but if you take a look at her Facebook fan page it seems that these are concerns close to her heart and ones that she spends plenty of time thinking and doing something about.  

For instance, in October she began preaching choice: "We all have the freedom to CHOOSE to live how we want. The freedom of choice is the crux of happiness. We are not here to live up to another's approval. Take responsibility for YOUR life, YOUR values, YOUR beliefs and expect NO ONE to hold that banner for you or to prove it RIGHT."

Most recently, she spoke in defence of her daugher, Willow's decision to shave off her hair.
