Wyclef Jean has previewed new song 'Bang Bang Bang' from his comeback mixtape 'April Showers'.

The singer and songwriter posted the track lamenting the soaring murder rate in Chicago - which saw some 506 people killed in 2012 - ahead of the release 'April Showers' later today (29.04.13).

The acoustic track includes Wyclef singing ''How long will this bloodbath last?'' and urging people ''All they need is love.''

'April Showers' is the first long form musical offering from Wyclef since 2010, when he released his 'If I Were President: My Haitian Experience' EP.

Last night he tweeted: ''Spring, when the music of life returns, when my music comes back too. Don't miss April Showers.''

The mixtape includes an impressive line up of guest stars, including T.I., Mobb Deep, Uncle Murda, Waka Flocka Flame and Maino.

Speaking about his comeback, Wyclef told the Huffington Post: ''A lot of times when legends come back, they don't embrace what the youth is doing.

''The elevation of music is going to come from us who are little bit older, to be able to combine with some of the youth and merge it together and get some of that consciousness back into what they're saying.''
