The Zac Brown Band frontman is adding celebrity vintner to his resume after teaming up with winemaker John Killebrew to create the Z. Alexander Brown brand.

The collection will feature red wines, kicking off with a cabernet sauvignon and a proprietary red blend.

A statement on the company's website reads: "Zac's drive to find inspiration in our world is second only to his desire to share it with others. When he and winemaker John Killebrew met, they instantly recognized in each other a common passion for creating unique experiences that reflect quality and originality."

The collection boasts "big, bold wines of uncommon finesse and character".

The Chicken Fried singer has been a longtime food and wine connoisseur - his band has hosted the Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Charleston, South Carolina since 2010. The two-day event features food from local chefs, as well as some of country music's biggest stars.

The 2016 festival will take place on 16 and 17 April (16) and feature performances from Thomas Rhett, Hunter Hayes, and Kacey Musgraves, among others.
