Zac Efron's friends are worried for his wellbeing, but he just doesn't want to hear it.

Last week the 26 year-old actor hit headlines after finding himself in a fight with a group of homeless men in a run-down part of Los Angeles.

The incident took place after midnight in Skid Row, under the Habor Freeway, and a patrolling police car spotted Efron fending off the three unidentified individuals along with his bodyguard.

But don't ask him about it, the 'Neighbors' actor is reportedly cutting ties with all his friends who show concern about his recent behaviour.

TMZ reports, close pals of Efron's, who has been treated for a cocaine addiction twice last year, are "scared to broach the subject of Zac's sobriety" due to being worried he will kick them out of his life.

The recent brawl in Skid Row occurred when the three homeless men allegedly began attacking his bodyguard, and he later admitted "It was the hardest I've ever been hit in my life."

Police officers questioned the young star, but no arrests were made due to the fight being viewed as "mutual combat."

The area where the incident occurred is full of drug dealers and gang members and one source said Zac was "obviously intoxicated."

Another bizarre incident occurred at the Los Angeles home of Efron, he broke his jaw in November (2013) after allegedly slipping on a pool of water in the front door way.

The 'Parklands' actor was also reportedly spent time in a rehabilitation twice last year after his partying lifestyle spiralled out of control. This past January he appeared on the 'Today' show and finally addressed his personal situation, stating, "I'm in the best place I've ever been. I've never been this happy before."
