Zoe Kravitz, Tessa Thompson and Naomi Scott have all reportedly tested for the female lead in the new Han Solo movie.

The film will star Alden Ehrenreich as the young Han Solo, who was cast in the role back in May after a long testing process by studio Disney.

According to Variety, Kravitz, Thompson and Scott all tested in London this week for the mystery female character.

Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are said to be taking their time in meeting with talent to cast the role, mirroring the process that led them to casting Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo.

Kravitz, 27, is the daughter of musician Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet. She is best known for her roles in The Divergent Series, X-Men: First Class and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Thompson, 33, starred in the Oscar nominated Selma in 2014 and was most recently seen in Rocky sequel Creed.

The youngest contender is 23-year-old Scott, who starred in short-lived sci-fi series ‘Terra Nova’ as well as Disney Channel series ‘Life Bites’. However Scott will soon be seen in the upcoming Power Rangers movie as the Pink Ranger.

The directors are also casting the role of Lando Calrissian, which is now in its second round of tests. Donald Glover was said to be high on the studio’s list, but they will be testing more actors just to be certain.

Production on the as-yet-untitled movie is not scheduled to begin until 2017. The finished film should be reaching cinemas by May 2018.
