ZZ Top and Jeff Beck are hoping to reschedule their disastrous summer (14) tour for next spring (15) after scrapping dates to allow bass player Dusty Hill to recover from a tour bus fall.

The joint tour hit a number of snags this year and the rock trio and the guitar great have their fingers crossed that next year's trek will be problem free.

Announcing the new shows for May (15) on Thursday (11Sep14), Beck says, "We are looking forward to getting back out there with ZZ Top and are grateful that Dusty is on his way to a complete recovery."

Hill injured his hip during a fall on the band's tour bus last month (Aug14) as he was recovering from surgery and he is not expected to return to the stage with ZZ Top this year.

A post on the band's Facebook.com page reads: "Dusty's well-being is paramount. We're looking forward to getting out there and rockin' it with Dusty in a big way."
