Neither 2 Chainz's rap-boy swagger or his crew couldn't save him from armed thieves in an altercation outside a medicinal marijuana dispensary that left him robbed and defenceless, according to Complex.

Fuse writer Jason Newman reported that police have confirmed the 35 year-old rapper was indeed robbed of his valuables: "Just got off phone with SFPD. 2 Chainz specifically robbed of "wallet, credit cards, U.S. currency and cell phone." Suspect still on run", later tweeting, "Single suspect carrying handgun. Suspect fired 1 shot. Nobody struck. 2 Chainz fell to ground. Suspect approached that man and robbed him."

It is still unknown whether reports Chainz, after recently being found not guilty for marijuana possession, was visiting the dispensary to purchase weed cookies is founded in truth.

As soon as the incident went down, cops were called to a shots-fired call at around 4.30pm on Sunday (9th June). They screeched to the scene but were met with a flustered and uncooperative post-theft Chainz who said he wanted to handle it all on his own.

Signed to Rick Rubin-founded Def Jam Records, 2 Chainz (real name Tauheed Epps) went on to perform later that evening at radio station KMEL's Summer Jam in Oakland.

The 'No Lie' hiphop singer hasn't addressed the incident but has cryptically retweeted questions about how it went down in San Fran on Sunday.

Luckily for his career, he still has both his chains.
