The Australian rocker and his bandmates were among the performers at the SSE Wembley Arena in London when he stepped too close to the edge of the stage and fell into the pit, with his guitar in hand.

Michael climbed out to continue the performance, and later blamed the tumble on pop star Rita Ora, who was in the audience enjoying their set.

"I was looking at Rita Ora and I was like... 'hey' and I fell," he joked to BBC Radio 1.

But the fall unfortunately left Michael with an injury, as he now has to use crutches until he's fully back on his feet.

"WHY DO I ALWAYS HURT MYSELF," he wrote on Twitter. "all good geezers. On crutches for the next few days. don't look at me funny pls (sic) lolz (laugh out loud)."

This is the second time Michael's had an onstage incident in a matter of months - in June (15), he was engulfed in fire when he stepped too close to a flamethrower, an accident that also occurred at the Wembley Arena.
