The hip hop star challenged the undefeated boxer to read one full page of a 'Harry Potter' book, if successful 50 would donate $750,000 to a charity of Mayweather's choice.
50 Cent is known for being involved in several feud's over the years, and it seems his beef with boxing champion Floyd Mayweather hasn't subsided in the slightest, which is clear when the rap star was about to participate in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.
The stars were once friends, but now seem to be enemies
However, when 50 uploaded a video via Instagram on Thursday (Aug 21st), he did not mention the ALS Foundation nor did he poor a bucket of ice-cold water of his head, instead the 39 year-old called out Mayweather to an "ELS challenge."
Paul (Jason Patric) used to be a major figure in the Las Vegas crime world - known by his rivals as 'The Prince - before retiring to life as a mechanic in Mississippi as the single father of his growing daughter Angela (Jessica Lowndes). However, his past is coming back to haunt him as one former rival, Omar (Bruce Willis), just can't let his grudge rest. Angela is kidnapped, forcing Paul to face his enemies once again; he travels down to where he believes she has been taken after taking advice from an old friend named Sam (John Cusack). He's still got the weapons and he's definitely still got his formidable fighting skills, but after living in peace for so long, will he be able to save the only person left in his life? Omar's betting he won't, and even he does, he's still got lots to explain to his angry and confused daughter about his dark past.

50 Cent has spoofed the movie trailer of Disney's 'Maleficent', appearing in the villain's cloak and horns as 'MaleFiftyCent'.
50 Cent AKA Curtis Jackson appeared on Jimmy Kimmel live on Thursday.
The rapper has created a spoof trailer sending up Angelina Jolie's latest Disney movie in which he appears in the horns and cloak of Maleficent. The tagline for the fake movie, MaleFiftyCent, is 'get witch or die tryin', evidently in homage to 50 Cent's biopic Get Rich or Die Tryin'.
Macaulay Culkin's band were forced off the stage in Nottingham after facing a disgruntled crowd. But which bands in music history have suffered worse fate at the hands of displeased crowds?
Macaulay Culkin and his pizza-themed Velvet Underground cover band, the imaginatively named The Pizza Underground, suffered the chagrin of a disgruntled crown in Nottingham during the city’s annual Dot To Dot festival. Culkin, who was by this point half-way through a European tour, beat a hasty retreat from the stage after being drenched with beer.
Macaulay isn't the first star to feel the audience's ire.
It proved, that in this age of disconnect, where audience members can turn to the comforts of smart phones during lacklustre gigs, music fans are still eager to openly voice their displeasure. Only a few days later, Culkin announced the cancellation of the remaining tour dates. He has not openly cited the event as the primary motivation for such a cancellation, but it seems all too obvious that the hostile reception he received had severely impacted the decision. Macaulay is far from being the first to suffer the wrath of an embittered crowd and few are safe from the ramifications of a poor or ill-judged performance. Here are ten examples of performers receiving a severe dressing down from irate audiences:
The 38 year-old rapper's reunion performance with Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck, quickly escalated into an all-out brawl.
50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, took fans back several years on Sunday (June 1st) as he reunited with G-Unit at the Hot 97 Summer Jam.
The 38 year-old rapper performed an array of hit tracks along with most of the hip-hop group's original members, Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks and Young Buck.
But their reunion will unfortunately not be the most memorable part of the show.
The 38 year-old appeared on 'Good Morning America' to explain the ball "slipped out of my hand," when he threw "one of the worst first pitches of all time" at the New York Mets game last Tuesday (May 27th).
The 38 year-old music mogul botched the ceremonial first pitch at the New York Mets game this past Tuesday (May 27th).
The attempted throw was branded "terrible" and "one of the worst first pitches of all time" by several sports commentators.
There's nothing we love more than finding out when celebrities are best friends, some of them aren't a secret, others will blow you away. We bet you never knew about Bette Midler and 50 Cent's budding best friendship...
Unlike Jennifer Lawrence and her rather normal best friend, Laura Simpson, celebs often pick other famous people to have as their BFFs. They all probably bump into each other at so many events that it’s difficult not to end up practically joined at the hip. Some of these celebrity BFFs you’ll already know about, some you’ll be totally surprised to hear have even met! The phrase chalk and cheese comes to mind.
Courtney Cox and Jennifer Aniston have been BFFs since their Monica and Rachel days. The pair have seen each other through weddings and divorces, children and various film/TV projects. “We just have fun, we laugh, we’re inseparable and it’s great”, Cox said of Aniston, while her best friend in turn dubbed her “the most dependable and loyal”. Mutual appreciation society, or what? We love it! That's how all best friends should talk about each other in our opinion.

Surving being shot is a pretty big deal as Benzino and these other 5 celebrities know.
Rapper Benzino escaped death when he was shot by his own nephew on Saturday, whilst attending his mother’s funeral. Thankfully the rapper and reality TV star’s injuries were not fatal and he is expected to make a full recovery. As shocking and serious as any shooting is, Benzino is not the first celebrity to fall victim to gun fire, but luckily he’s also not the first to survive either.

What will be the next step in 50 Cent's career?
50 Cent has announced that he's going to become an independent artist and will be leaving his longtime record labels Universal Music Group's Interscope Records, and Eminem's imprint, Shady/Aftermath, according to the AP. The 'Candy Shop' rapper and his G-Unit Records have signed a deal with Caroline, the independent label at Capitol Music Group and one of the many labels that is part of the Universal Music Group.
50 Cent Is Moving To An Independent Label.
The rapper burst on to the hip hop scene in 2003 with his six-time platinum debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin' but his succeeding albums have failed to match the level of success and 50, real name Curtis Jackson, expressed dissatisfaction with his label.
An almost ridiculously strong cast and a witty script by the writer of Crazy Stupid Love make this silly film a lot more entertaining than it should be. As it playfully explores long friendships and the struggles of ageing, it turns into a four-sided bromance. So even if the film feels a little under-powered, it's still thoroughly charming.
At the centre are four lifelong buddies who are determined not to grow old. Paddy (De Niro) is trying to recover from grief over his wife's death, while Archie (Freeman) is tired of being fussed over by his son (Ealy) and Sam (Kline) hates living in a retirement community with his spirited wife (Gleason). So they jump on the chance to travel to Vegas for a stag weekend for their pal Billy (Douglas), who is marrying a woman (Blair) in her 30s. And getting together sparks their youthful sense of mischief as they plan a lavish party. Especially when two of them begin to fall for lounge singer Diana (Steenburgen).
Having five Oscar winners in the lead roles gives considerable oomph to the whole project, as these seasoned veterans bring out engaging details of their characters. Douglas has the safest role as a hapless lover-boy, while De Niro does the emotional heavy lifting and Kline endures the cheapest jokes (because his wife has given him a "free pass" for the weekend). Meanwhile, Freeman is clearly having the most fun: cool and relaxed with a naughty glint in his eye. And Steenburgen provides some badly needed female feistiness.

This lively and engaging documentary may be set out like an informercial, but it teaches us about the drug trade with a pungent sting in its tail. The emphasis is on how America's War on Drugs has only made things worse, criminalising the wrong people and missing the whole point of the drug issue. It's a strong statement, made with passion, intelligence and a refreshing lack of political correctness.
"If the American Dream broke its promise to you, we have an answer!" This is how the film opens, informing us that the American population is the biggest market for marijuana and cocaine on earth. So keeping them supplied is a job that can't help but earn you a fortune as you climb from being a corner supplier to a local dealer to a kingpin to a cartel boss, all while learning lessons from cops and federal agents. And even working with them. Sure, there are dangers, including violence and prison, but the money you can make is worth the risk.
Obviously, this is deeply sarcastic. Telling stories are recounted on-screen by a wide variety of interviewees including activists like Sarandon and Harrelson, former dealers (Jackson), ex-addicts (Mathers, aka Eminem), cops, lawyers, scholars and even a TV series creator (The Wire's Simon). All of them point out the dangers of drugs as well as the fact that people use them because they feel good.

50 Cent will not be going to jail after an incident in June in which he allegedly kicked his ex-girlfriend and damaged her property. The rapper made a deal with L.A. prosecutors yesterday (Monday 28th October) in which the domestic violence charge was dropped in exchange for a no contest plea for the vandalism charges.
50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, allegedly kicked the mother of his child and destroyed parts her property during an argument in June of this year. The woman in question, Daphne Joy, is the mother of Jackson's second child.

It appears the rapper kicked Joy during an argument and damaged numerous items of her property including chandeliers, furniture, a television, a lamp and Joy's clothes. He caused, according to reports in TMZ, around $7100 worth of damage.

Chris Brown spend just 45 minutes in jail.
Chris Brown went to prison on Monday (August 5, 2013), turning himself in for his hit-and-run case. The hip-hop star turned up at the Van Nuys jail around 2pm and spent just 45 minutes in the place before leaving.
According to TMZ.com, Brown's lawyer Mark Geragos engineered it all so that Brown avoided the photographers. Interestingly, the courthouse connected to the prison was teeming with photographers just a couple of hours earlier, with rapper 50 Cent making an appearance in his assault case.
Once the cameramen had gotten their snaps of Fiddy and left, Brown and his lawyer sneaked into the jail.

The "Get Rich or Die Trying" star denies the charges.
50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson has sent out the biggest indication yet that he’s fighting these domestic violence and vandalism charges to the death by pleading not guilty in court.
The rapper, who has been told to stay away from Daphne Narvarez – he’s forbidden him from contacting her by phone or email – faces up to five years in jail should be found guilty.
"During an argument, Jackson allegedly began destroying the female's property," the city prosecutor's office said at the time in a written statement.
The rapper is facing jail-time after allegedly attacking the mother of one of his children back in June
50 Cent told a Los Angeles court on Monday (5 August) that he is not guilty of the domestic violence charges brought against him by model Daphne Joy . The rap star pleaded his innocence in front of the judge in LA, however he was ordered not to go anywhere near Joy - at least 100 yards away at all times - and was even told to hand over all his guns to the state, at least until the case is over.
Fiddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges
According to TMZ, the now gunless Fiddy was also stopped outside the LA court by a process server, who handed the rapper/entrepreneur a hefty wad of legal papers, all of which apparently relate to the court case. Taking all these factors into consideration, and despite what 50 has said under oath, it looks as though things are getting pretty real for the 'In Da CLub' rapper, and he could very well be facing a stay in prison. This is LA though, and 50 is really rich and famous, so he probably wont have to worry about jail too much, but still, think of all the money he stands to lose.

According to reports 50 Cent was charged with domestic violence after he allegedly kicked Daphne Joy. A further four charges of vandalism were brought against the 38-year-old Hip-Hop star as he is believed to have damaged Joy's property. Reports suggest the rapper damaged chandeliers, furniture, a television, a lamp and Joy's clothes. The incident occurred on 23rd June at Joy's condo in Toluca Lake.

50 has pleaded not guilty, but it seems the case might drag on for quite some time.
The story of 50 Cent’s domestic violence charges has been going on since June, when the artist was accused by an unnamed woman (allegedly the mother of his child) of entering her home and abusing her. Now, almost two months later, the rapper has pleaded not guilty in the case raised by the woman, who has now been named as model Daphne Joy. Even so, prior to any conviction, the court has instituted a restraining order on the rapper, forbidding him from coming within 100 yards of Joy, as well as requesting that he turn in all his guns. That makes it sound like 50 has an arsenal stashed somewhere in his home, but considering, well, any of his lyrics, would anyone be too surprised, if that was the case?
50 pleaded not guilty.
It seems that the legal trouble for the rapper is far from over. According to TMZ, on his way out of LA court earlier today, 50 was served with a stack of “legal papers” – exactly what those consisted of, was unknown. However, according to a tip the website got from the process server, whatever the papers were, they related to the case. And if we’ve learned anything from Boston Legal and their ilk, it’s that lots of papers usually means lots of trouble.

Jack Halcombe is an Alaskan State Trooper who determinedly sets out to find a serial killer after several bodies of young girls show up apparently murdered. When he discovers a frightened young girl hiding away bound with handcuffs, he realises that she is their key to finding the killer being the only one to have managed to escape from his clutches. However, her information is in doubt given the fact that she is a prostitute and refused a polygraph. When he does find the suspect, it is Robert Hansen; an experience hunter and a bakery worker whose respected status leads many investigators to cross him off their list. Halcombe is unwavering in his suspicions, however, and sets out to gather solid evidence that Hansen is their man.

Nicolas Cage's new Alaskan crime thriller 'The Frozen Ground' is released today (19th July) in the UK and 23rd August in the USA. What do the first reviewers reckon?
Upcoming crime thriller The Frozen Ground is based on true events that culminated in a horrific serial killer being jailed to 461 years in prison in 1984 after the murder of 17 women. An adaptation of a chilling real-life story, the film starts with prostitute Cindy (Vanessa Hudgens) who narrowly escapes the clutches of serial killer and sexual predator Robert Hansen (John Cusack) but her story is disbelieved by the authorities. It is only when State Trooper Jack Halcombe (Nicolas Cage) becomes involved in the investigation that Cindy's account is investigated and Hansen is tracked down.
Nicolas Cage To Star As State Trooper Jack Halcombe Who Tries To Solve The Crimes.
The Telegraph's Tim Robey disparages the film as unentertaining whilst badly and confusingly constructed yet does admit that former Disney teen princess Hudgens makes a "solid contribution" to the narrative, saying "she's tough and committed in ways that often come to the rescue." Cusack's killer is painted as a 2D villain, serving up "a listless banality-of-evil cipher instead of a character." The Guardian's Peter Bradshaw rates the film a little higher however, choosing to praise all three lead actor's performances as "solid" and Digital Spy attests - Cage's performance is "subtly" intense whilst the script is described as "smartly written." However, DS does admit that The Frozen Ground "misses the mark" with unconvincing roles from Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and Radha Mitchell, playing Cindy's pimp and Halcombe's wife respectively.
Even though this crime thriller is based on a true story, it never feels remotely believable. The problem is that writer-director Walker tries far too hard to force the real events into a standard movie structure, which leaves gaping plot holes everywhere we look. Still, it's a solidly made film, with a snappy pace, strong performances and beefy direction that holds our attention.
It's set in 1983 Anchorage, Alaska, where the cops struggle to believe the story told to them by 17-year-old prostitute Cindy (Hudgens): she claims to have been kidnapped, tortured and raped, barely escaping with her life, and she identifies upstanding citizen Robert (Cusack) as her would-be killer. With the police refusing to follow up on her statement, State Trooper Jack (Cage) looks into it and discovers similarities in the cases of several other missing girls. And even though his out-of-hours investigation strains his marriage to Allie (Mitchell), he is doggedly determined to find the proof that will put Robert behind bars.
Right at the beginning we have a nagging question that's never answered: why do the police discount the victim's account, especially as it's accompanied by physical evidence? And the screenplay brushes past other big issues along the way, making us think that this might be the most inept police squad in the world. Although we never doubt for a second that Jack will crack the case, even though the script continually throws in random movie cliches from the characters' pasts in an attempt to ramp up the emotional stakes. It also randomly places Cindy in the middle of an under-developed war between two pimps (Jackson and Henke).

The rapper-cum-actor has been charged by LAPD officers for allegedly kicking the mother of his child during a domestic dispute
50 Cent has been charged with domestic abuse following an allegedly incident that saw the rapper attack the mother of one of his children and damage her property at her Los Angeles condo. TMZ reported on Wednesday (July 3) that the rapper committed the act of violence last month, with LA police arriving at the scene after the rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, had left.
50 apparently lost his cool when visiting a former flame
He is now expected to appear in court later this month to face the charges brought against him. According to the police report filed by the unspecified woman; said to be Daphne Joy, who is the mother of 50's second child, 50 is facing five separate charges from the incident - one count misdemeanor domestic violence and four counts of misdemeanor vandalism. The rapper apparently got so riled up that he went on to cause up to $7,100 worth of damage during the incident at Joy's Toluca Lake, California, home, which took place on June 23. The police report goes on to state that when 50 started to lose his cool, Joy had to barricade herself in one of her bathrooms, but that didn't stop the rapper as he proceeded to kick down the door, hitting the woman with his foot in the process.
An accuser has come forward, claiming over personal injuries and over $7000 in property damage.
50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) has been accused of domestic violence, relating to an incident, during which he assaulted an anonymous woman. Jackson now faces one charge of domestic violence and five charges of vandalism, because during the incident, he also reportedly ransacked the woman’s bedroom, Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer said for CNN. The woman has chosen to remain anonymous and has been cited only as “a former girlfriend” of the rapper. The two reportedly share custody over a child. The news release from the trial states: "The female had previously been in a three-year relationship with Jackson and they have a child in common."
50 faces the possibility of his first term in jail.
According to the release, the police arrived on the scene on June 23rd, after a call was placed, reporting a disturbance. According to the prosecution, Jackson used force to enter the woman’s home and then, when she locked herself in the bedroom, he kicked the door down to get to her. "During an argument, Jackson allegedly began destroying the female's property," the prosecutor said. "Allegedly when the female locked herself in her bedroom, Jackson kicked-open the bedroom door and kicked her, causing an injury."

The new documentary features tell-all segments by drug dealers and high-profile former addicts.
Eminem recalls his battle with prescription drug addiction in a new clip from the tell-all documentary How To Make Money Selling Drugs. The film is co-produced by Entourage star Adrian Grenier and also features testimonies by 50 Cent and Russel Simmons among others. Director Matthew Cooke explains that the selection of interviewees had much more to do with experience, rather than fame alone.
Grenier takes on the heavy topic in his latest documentary.
"it wasn't just random people." He explains in an interview with Maxim. "The celebrities were also picked because they have an invested interest in talking about [the issues] they brought to the screen. I think everyone in the film who participated was the best representative we could find to speak to a particular aspect of this very complex and deeply relevant, moving issue." "When I took my first Vicodin, it was like this feeling of 'Ahh.' Like everything was not only mellow, but [I] didn't feel any pain ... I just remember liking it more and more," Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, recalls in a particularly chilling part of the released clip. Through the stars’ personal accounts, the film tackles the goal of exposing the drug trade in America. However, the almost sympathetic look on drug dealers that Grenier provides, presented some challenges, like making it difficult to find subjects willing to appear on camera.
Celebrities arrive for the New York premiere of 'After Earth' starring Will Smith and Jaden Smith.
The New York premiere of Will Smith's new action movie 'After Earth' was almost like a reunion for the actor as several old friends showed up to offer their support.
The event was truly a field day for photographers with celebrities from Wyclef Jean to Bruce Willis making their appearances on the red carpet. Will Smith was the star attraction alongside his son and co-star Jaden Smith, and he also brought along his other two children Willow Smith and Trey Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith. Joining them were 'After Earth' director M. Night Shyamalan (the man behind 'The Sixth Sense' and 'The Village'), Smith's co-star Kristofer Hivju, Oscar-nominated director Spike Lee and rapper 50 Cent. There was even an appearance from Smith's former 'The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air' co-star Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Will's rich and very spoilt cousin Carlton Banks. Another notable attendee was genuine NASA astronaut Buzz Aldrin, best known for being the second man to walk on the moon in 1969.
Albums of Note... Bonobo, aka Simon Green, may not have found instant stardom in his career but his work is characterised by a steady progress that is reflected in his tracks. North Borders is the fifth studio album from Bonobo and he calls on a range of influences, from hip-hop, soul, jazz and dubstep, to create a sound that has gradually developed into his own distinctive sound. Bonobo calls on a few friends for this album, notably Erykah Badu, who sings on ‘Heaven for the Sinner,’ a twinkling take on modern soul.
“What sets Bonobo apart in an overly crowded marketplace… is an expert ability to channel myriad influences from outside of his sphere into something that works perfectly inside it, not just within a single track but start-to-finish across an album.”

50 Cent gets shut down by Fox's Erin Andrews after he tries to snatch a kiss from her during the Daytona 500.
Well, this is awkward. At yesterday's (Feb 24) Daytona 500 race rapper 50 Cent was given the cold shoulder by Fox Sport correspondent Erin Andrew after the 'In Da Club' hit-maker tried to swoop in for a kiss.
Andrews was scouring the pits for speedracer Danica Patrick after the driver had competed in her first ever Daytona 500, but whilst she was looking for the speed queen she coincidentally bumped into Fiddy, and thats when things got a whole lot more awkward (and hilarious).
The rapper immediately went in for a smooch when he was found lurking, but luckily Andrews was too quick for him and managed to get away with just a peck on the cheek. The presenter politely asked him what he was doing there, to which he responded 'I'm enjoying myself, I'm enjoying all the festivities.' Whilst he was answering the question towards the camera, Andrews saw her moment to escape and she made a dash to the side to hopefully find Danica at last, only to end up being trailed by the rap star.
50 Cent tried to land a kiss on Erin Andrews at the Daytona 500... it made for an awkward situation
Video footage of that awkward-as-hell kiss between 50 Cent, Erin Andrews has made its way online, prompting 50 Cent to defend himself on Twitter by saying “Hey I wanted to kiss her so I did.” Someone needs to tell Fiddy that that isn’t really how it works, but in the meantime, it’s worth checking out the biggest car-crash moment of Saturday’s Daytona 500, courtesy of the rapper and FOX’s sports reporter Erin Andrews.
As Erin made her way through the crowds, desperately trying to locate the driver Danica Patrick, she spotted 50 Cent in amongst the throng. Danica Patrick had made history by becoming the first female driver to win a Sprint Cup series pole and finished eighth overall, against all expectations. 50 Cent was just… there. Watching. Nonetheless, when Erin pointed him out to the crowd, 50 Cent decided to go in for a kiss, on camera. Right in the middle of all the actin. What ensued was a cringe-worthy battle of wills as Fiddy tried to plant a kiss on Andrews’ lips, as she desperately tried to dodge that outcome. 50 Cent failed to land the kiss on her mouth and seemed to settle for “ok, anywhere on her head will do,” and managed an awkward peck on the cheek.
As Erin headed off into the crowd to locate Danica Patrick, 50 Cent followed her. Now, in amongst the hustle and bustle of the crowd at the Daytona 500, it was hard to hear everything that Andrews said… but we’re pretty sure she didn’t invite Fiddy to follow her. Creepy, Fiddy. Pretty creepy. And did we mention ‘awkward?’

Whilst everyone else was breathing a sigh of relief that rapper Rick Ross had managed to escape a drive-by shooting attempt on Monday morning (January 28, 2013) 50 Cent reckoned he’d spotted something that we’d all missed – the whole thing was a set-up, a hoax. Oh.
That’s right, after taking a cursory look at some blurry Instagram photos of the crime scene, which showed Ross’ Rolls Royce smashed up and riddled with bullet holes, Fiddy – presumably aping TV detective Hercule Poirot right down to the squint - concurred that the whole thing was fake. “Hahaha fat boy hit the building? Lol it looks staged to me,” tweeted the rapper. “No hole's in da car. Hahaha that boy was spooked” he continued, adding “I ride like OBAMA level 6 bulit proof bomb proof, you already know. [sic]” We’re not sure quite what that last bit means.
Of course, as the Daily Mail points out, the last person Ross would be expecting any sympathy from would be 50 Cent. The pair have been locked in a dispute ever since Ross mouthed off about his contemporary in the song ‘Mafia Music’ back in 2009. No comments as yet as to whether officials have asked for Fiddy to bring his quick-sharp eye and devilish perception to the investigation, though they are treating the incident seriously. Ross’ girlfriend Shateria L. Moragne-le was also in the car but emerged unscathed from the incident.
A mixed week for US albums releases; old classics given an airing, a major movie soundtrack launched and hip-hop arTIsts new and old having a stab at chart success. Currently, the top of the US album chart is dominated by Taylor Swift, who’s back at the top with Red, Wiz Khalifa, riding high at number two with O.N.F.C. and Rod Stewart’s festive compilation album, Merry Christmas, Baby.
Eric Clapton’s Slowhand gets a 35th anniversary reissue, having been remastered from the original “1/4 tape. There are four album session outtakes, entitled ‘Looking at the Rain,’ ‘Alberta,’ ‘Greyhound Bus,’ and ‘Stars, Strays and Ashtrays.’ A second disc contains a live performance at London’s Hammersmith Odeon, from April 27, 1977.
One for the completists, then – and more a case of Clapton’s record label rubbing their hands in glee at a cash in, than any real significant moment in his career. The re-release of Slowhand has hardly set the music press alight and we probably don’t need to fetch any fire blankets for the albums chart, either.
James Arthur wasn't the only celebrity out clubbing in London on Sunday (December 16, 2012), with 50 Cent and his massive entourage also partaking in some end-of-the-week drinking and dancing. The superstar rapper turned up at DSTRKT nightclub in Soho with a pretty heavy looking crew and an army of fans.
In Da Club: 50 Cent Hits Up London's DSTRKT nightclub
Managers at the London nightspot were probably rubbing their hands together when Fiddy walked into the place, given his history with Soho clubs. Back in 2009, the hip hop star took bar tabs to a whole new level following the premiere of his movie Dead Man Running. Joined by 15 girls in a VIP booth at the Alto Club, the 33-year-old ran up a £75,000 bill. A guest at the party told the Daily Mail, "When he arrived at the club it was mayhem. The area was cleared for him and security ushered him straight through. On his table were bottles of champagne but he wanted a magnum bottle of Ace Of Spades champagne. You could tell that he was loving all the attention as people were trying to take pictures on their phones and were shouting his name." Things were a little different on Sunday, though 50 Cent still caused a stir at the club, with hundreds of girls pictured taking snaps with their smartphones.

On the hunt for a thanksgiving recipe? Want to know how to cook a turkey? Well, 50 Cent served up a pretty fine looking Thanksgiving bird to hungry new Yorkers and victims of Hurricane Sandy at the 'Our Table Is Yours' event at Cipriani Restaurant in Manhattan this week. The G-Unit mogul partnered with Feeding America, The Food Network and SMS Audio to make sure everyone had a swell Thanksgiving holiday.
"I'm able to provide meals for victims of Sandy or other people in New York City that don't actually have food," 50 told MTV News. A keen charity donor, the rapper also uses proceeds of sales from his SK Energy Drink and headphones range to provide meals for those in need. "[Hunger,] it's a world issue, it's not a third-world issue. One in six Americans are actually going hungry. You got kids that's surviving based on their school lunch and more than one out of five kids are experiencing hunger." Though he's helping out those less privileged than himself, how do things go down in the Jackson household at Thanksgiving? "I don't cook. I'll go to my grandmother's house; it's always safe there to eat. You know the food is always decent. Sometimes she'll allow my aunts and uncles to bring food there and I can tell when she didn't do it. It doesn't taste the same."
However you spend your festive holiday, it's a big Happy Thanksgiving from everyone here at Contactmusic.com!
Eminem could very well be readying himself to release album number 8 as early as next year, and the clue to its release may very well be found in a piece of merchandise of his.
Earlier this week, Exclaim reported that a ‘baseball tribute hat’ had become available on the rapper's online store, with the side of the hat listing ‘world championship’, or rather album release dates. Starting with 1996's Infinite, the list goes up to 2013, which potentially means that Marshall Mathers is all but done with recording the follow-up to 2010’s Recovery and is just applying the finishing touches already. Em had already discussed his plans to make a new album in the near future during the summer, with the hat further cementing his claims.
He discussed his upcoming work with US radio DJ Whoo Kid, saying at the time he had not yet made any progress thus far, but is planning on sending his stuff over to Dr Dre when he thinks they're done so he can “listen and see what he thinks I'm missing." Producer No ID and fellow rapper 50 Cent have also spoken about the upcoming project and their contribution to it, with 50 saying that he is set to appear on either the album’s “first or second single.”
While there have been wide reports of the brawl between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, the scuffle between 50 Cent's entourage and Gunplay had been largely ignored. Now, Gunplay has spoken out to on radio in a comedic explanation of the events, referring to all partipants as 'donkeys'. HipHopDX reports that he said:
"So the donkey walks with eight other donkeys. I see him, I was getting ready to go catch my ride... I turn around and see the donkey with eight more donkeys and it was either me jump the barrier and run or stand, pull up my pants and knuckle it out with the donkey... He walks up to me with about eight donkeys and he nodded to one of the donkeys set it off and we rumbled."
Clinton Yates, in the Washington Post, made an apt comparison between the contemporary world of rap with wrestling. He said "More than ever, the game has become more about viral popularity, perceived image and one's ability to pack shows. While I genuinely think the music coming out of the speakers is as good as ever, the sideshows are reminiscent of the theatrics of [WWE]"

Gunplay has denied any shots being fired during the BET Awards brawl between him and 50 Cent’s security guards, reports MTV. Another scuffle broke out when Rick Ross and Young Jeezy clashed backstage in what turned out to be a bad night for the Stop the Violence Movement
"I don't know nothing about no shots fired, I'm a be totally honest with you, but all I know, I had to fight off five dudes," the MMG rapper explained in an interview with TMZ. "I never liked , I've always wanted to kick his ass. I finally got the opportunity to get close to him, he was hiding behind all his security. I couldn't get to him." Gunplay was pepper sprayed and left the awards in cuffs with the Atlanta cops. Though he lost his diamond studded MMG chain, Gunplay did not suffer any injuries, and was not charged. "If you're playin' with me, you're playin' with fire. Might get gunned down, ya never know," he added, which has done little to dispel the rumours of gunshots.
Gunplay was too busy scrapping with “refrigerators” as he referred to some of the guys involved, so he missed the fisticuffs between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy, which occurred backstage. "I ain't get to see what happened. Ross and them walked up ahead of me and security was still patting me down," he said. "By the time I got there, I seen a melee." BET have issued a statement addressing the conflict, calling it "unfortunate."
