The rapper - real name Curtis Jackson - posted a short video of himself opening his fridge, to find masses of currency inside.
Despite claiming bankruptcy earlier this year, it would seem that 50 Cent has a lot of cold, hard cash – quite literally. The rapper has bundles of $100 bills and keeps them inside a refrigerator, according to a new video he posted.
On Friday (November 27th), the supposedly cash-strapped star – whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III – put up a video on his Instagram account showing him opening his fridge looking for some cheese. Indeed, he can be heard saying “Get me a piece of this cheese” in the clip. However, all the shelves were full of wads of $100 bills.
Also in the fridge was a bottle of Effen vodka, the brand that he represents and frequently plugs on social media. “Gotta keep a cool little $tash and some Effen Vodka Happy Holidays. #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO,” he captioned a screenshot.
Meanwhile, he captioned the video: “LMAO OFF WE AT LUST TONIGHT, girl you better get to work early 50 coming. #EFFENVODKA #FRIGO #SMSAUDIO.”

It’s not the first time that Fiddy has poked fun at the stories that have surrounded him and his financial situation this year. In October, he released a rather tasteless video of himself literally rolling in cash at his home, and spelling out the word ‘BROKE’ in bills.
The rapper filed for bankruptcy back in July this year, soon after he lost an expensive lawsuit regarding a sex tape he posted of his rival Rick Ross’s ex-girlfriend Lastonia Leviston several years ago. Jackson was found to have invaded her privacy, and was ordered to pay $7 million in total in damages.
He was once estimated to be worth more than $150 million, but his astronomical expenses were revealed in the first bankruptcy hearing and he’s now believed by some to be in debt to the tune of nearly $28 million.
