The rapper is facing jail-time after allegedly attacking the mother of one of his children back in June
50 Cent told a Los Angeles court on Monday (5 August) that he is not guilty of the domestic violence charges brought against him by model Daphne Joy . The rap star pleaded his innocence in front of the judge in LA, however he was ordered not to go anywhere near Joy - at least 100 yards away at all times - and was even told to hand over all his guns to the state, at least until the case is over.
Fiddy has pleaded not guilty to the charges
According to TMZ, the now gunless Fiddy was also stopped outside the LA court by a process server, who handed the rapper/entrepreneur a hefty wad of legal papers, all of which apparently relate to the court case. Taking all these factors into consideration, and despite what 50 has said under oath, it looks as though things are getting pretty real for the 'In Da CLub' rapper, and he could very well be facing a stay in prison. This is LA though, and 50 is really rich and famous, so he probably wont have to worry about jail too much, but still, think of all the money he stands to lose.
The rapper also pleads not guilty to being the father of Daphne's child
As previously reported, Joy, who is believed to be the mother of Fiddy's second child, claims that 50 - real name Curtis James Jackson III - went on a rampage around her California condo, during which he apparently kicked her and went on to cause thousands of dollars worth of damage. Officials say that during his rampage he broke a television, chandeliers, furniture and a lamp and even went on to ransack Joy's bedroom closet.
Joy says that she is the mother of the 38-year-old rapper's second child, although he has only ever publicly acknowledged having one son. He is due back in court next month.
