The new 'Godzilla' trailer has just been released and the king of the monsters is reintroduced as more powerful and frightening than ever before!
The trailer for the 2014 reboot of the hugely successful giant monster sci-fi film 'Godzilla' has finally been cast out to the waiting public this Tuesday (Dec 10th). The new instalment is a chilling point of view account that requires shadows, smoke and mirrors to slightly reveal the prevailing danger but doesn't take away the mystery element from the lingering beast.

The POV method utilized in previous films, such as 'Chronicles' and 'Cloverfield,' view the story though a handheld camera, but in 'Godzilla' it is through the very eyes of military man 'Lieutenant Ford' played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. In the new clip Johnson performs a HALO jump out of a plane straight into the heart of a city destroyed by the beast.
The audience will experience a first-hand account of free falling through the air until the first sighting of 'Godzilla' through the smokey ruins of the city. What is clear in the trailor is that the re-imagined monster's scale has dramatically increased, making it bigger than previous instalments.

The reboot comes 16 years after the 1998 feature film, starring Matthew Broderick and jean Leno, which was considered a huge flop by many critics. The new trailer indicates this is a totally different take on the Japanese monster story and the ability to shown in 3D will add a favourable edge upon its release.
Although the clip is only two minutes, the audience can take away several key elements. This is a much more hi-tech age and therefore new concepts and methods will be utilized to try and subdue 'Godzilla', it also focuses on telling the story of the human lives and boosts an impressive ensemble cast to highlight its character-driven aspect.
Johnson will star as 'Lieutenant Ford'
Along with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston play scientist 'Joe Brody' with Elizabeth Olsen and Juliette Binoche as his daughter and wife, Olsen will also play Johnson's girlfriend. Gareth Edwards, who rose to fame through his independent film 'Monsters', directed the 'Godzilla' reboot.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures teamed up to re-create the iconic monster tale and they are describing it as, "An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence."
Godzilla is due on release on the 16th May 2014.
