The 35-year-old actor tweeted  in response to the decision by Toys R Us to remove Breaking Bad action figures from its shelves after a Florida mother became concerned about the message they were sending children. One of the dolls was of Jesse Pinkman, the character Paul played in the critically acclaimed series.

Aaron Paul On Jesse Pinkman And The Moment He Thought His Career Was Over

Aaron Paul Bryan Cranston

Having landed the role of a lifetime as Jesse Pinkman – Breaking Bad’s lovable surrogate child to Bryan Cranston’s Walter White – a summer aged 27 could have seen the end of his acting career.

Aaron Paul

Packing up his car for the 800-odd drive to L.A from Idaho, Paul was embarking on a journey he could never forsee, kicking off with his first big role: Amanda Seyfried’s boyfriend in HBO’s Big Love. That earned him around $600. His parents had to fit the bill for his rent, three months in a row. Luckily, his relationship with his mother and father was better than Jesse’s with his.

Aaron Paul And Bryan Cranston In 'Breaking Bad' Reunion For Emmys Spoof

Bryan Cranston Aaron Paul Julia Louis-Dreyfus

Julia Louis-Dreyfus attempted to sell her Primetime Emmy Award to Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, who now work as owners of a seedy pawnshop called Barley Legal. You have no idea how much we want that whole sentence to be true, but it’s not.

It is, in fact, a spot sponsored by Audi of America for the Emmys. It sees Dreyfus try and drum up some quick cash to pay for a regrettable purchase. "I read somewhere that Celine Dion has her own island, and last night I had a little bit too much rosé, did some online shopping, so now I have to pay for my own island," she explains in the video.

Aaron Paul Ranks 'Breaking Bad' Up There With The Very Best Of All Time

Aaron Paul Bryan Cranston

Aaron Paul played fan-favourite Jesse in Breaking Bad, the AMC sleeper hit that would become one of the most talked about shows of all time. During its run, the meth drama dominated the Internet, especially during season 5 when fandom and viewership reached an all time high.

Breaking Bad Jesse Pinkman and Walter WhiteJesse Pinkman and Walter White suit up for another cook in AMC's 'Breaking Bad'

TV’s history is dominated by a few key moments, and not many are bigger than the introduction of the slow-burning, multi season American drama, exploring themes of loneliness, economic deprivation, crime corruption and, above all, family. The Sopranos paved the way, and, alongside shows like The Wire, Mad Men, The West Wing and Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad sits amidst that pantheon.

Bryan Cranston's memoirs will be published in Autumn 2015.

Cranston's role as Walter White may be the selling point for the memoirs as Breaking Bad was hugely popular and has already gone down in history as one of the most viewed and widely discussed series on television. However, the memoirs will not merely concern Cranston's role on the show but his life and career leading up to, as the publishers aptly put it, to "one of the greatest performances of our time."

Was 'Breaking Bad' The Prequel To 'The Walking Dead'?

Aaron Paul Bryan Cranston

As fan theories go this one has definitely got its convincing elements. Donna Dickens over at HitFix.com has come up with an extremely intricate (and well spotted) theory that has led her to believe AMC’s Breaking Bad was intended as a prequel to the network’s apocalyptic zombie series The Walking Dead. Dickens’ theory is built upon a series of remarkable ‘coincidences’ between the two series. So what evidence had she presented to back up her claims?

the walking dead prequel Did Blue Sky do this?

The first link between the two series is allegedly found in Season 2 of The Walking Dead. When T-Dog is taken down with a fever and needs antibiotics, Daryl produces his older brother Merle’s ‘medicinal’ supplies. At the bottom of the plastic bag containing the assortment of drugs is a blue crystal like substance. To the casual observer there’s nothing exciting to spot there, except Dickens has suggested that the blue crystals are in fact Blue Sky, the meth produced by Walt and Jesse in Breaking Bad. Perhaps the bag of drugs was just a left over prop from the show, or a nod to AMC’s recently concluded series?

A Long Way Down Review

OK

With a darkly serious theme and a corny rom-com filmmaking approach, this film never quite comes together into something meaningful. The characters are full of possibilities, and the story catches the imagination, but director Pascal Chaumeil (Heartbreaker) never seems sure whether he's making a black comedy or an emotional drama.

It starts on New Year's Eve in London, as disgraced TV host Martin (Pierce Brosnan) decides to jump off a tower block. But he's interrupted by the arrival of the timid Maureen (Toni Collette), who is followed by the fiery Jess (Imogen Poots) and the secretive J.J. (Aaron Paul). Together, these four lost souls make a pact to stay alive for six more weeks until Valentine's Day, the next popular suicide date in the calendar. But their story leaks to the press, capitalising on Martin's notoriety and the fact that Jess is the daughter of a high-profile politician (Sam Neill). So they decide to escape to the sunshine for some peace.

Instead of playing this out as a brittle exploration of identity and societal expectations, the filmmakers opt for a romantic-comedy formula, with a four-way friendship standing in for the usual love story. This makes the film feel like a substandard Richard Curtis movie, constantly drifting into maudlin sentimentality. And director Chaumeil encourages the cast to overplay every scene, which makes it tricky to believe any of the characters.

Mr. Peabody & Sherman has defied expectations by claiming the box office number one spot in its second weekend of release. Dreamworks' animated children's comedy moved up from last weekend's second place to become the most-watched film of the week, with domestic box office takings of $21.2 million, according to Box Office Mojo.

The lively movie about a genius dog and his human son was held off last week's number one action fantasy movie, 300: Rise of an Empire. Zack Snyder's R-rated sequel was forced to settle for second best this week, taking $19.2 million. It seems that the initial excitement surrounding the follow-up to the highly-quotable 2006 film dissipated when critics began to file crushing reviews.
