Ace Frehley has reached out to his former Kiss bandmate Paul Stanley following the death of his mother, offering his condolences and calling her a "gracious" woman.

The singer is currently mourning the loss of his mother, Eva Eisen, who died on Saturday (29Sep12) at the age of 88, and his bandmates released a touching statement, revealing she had always supported the rockers at their New York shows.

Now the group's former guitarist, Frehley, has added his own tribute, praising Eisen for her dedication to Kiss and sending his sympathies to Stanley and his family.

In a message posted on his official website, Frehley writes, "I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Paul Stanley's mother Eva. She always had a smile on her face at the Kiss shows she attended in New York and was always very gracious to me and my family when we'd meet backstage before and after concerts... My deepest sympathy goes out to Paul and his family. God bless."
