The alleged issues between Lambert and Lovato reportedly began when Lovato axed Lambert from her tour. According to reports in TMZ, Lambert was supposed to be acting as the opening act for Lovato’s upcoming World tour. The reports claim Lambert was also set to appear and details, including lighting and fees, had already been worked out between Lovato and Lambert.

However, Lovato’s manager (who also represents Jonas) allegedly convinced Lovato to replace Lambert with Jonas. His motivation is reportedly twofold: Jonas is hugely popular at the moment and he doesn’t have a tour of his own. In addition, let’s not forget that Lovato and Jonas are really close friends but we can’t say if that was a factor in the decision making process.

The long and the short of it is: Lambert’s out and Jonas is in. Lambert was reportedly furious about being replaced, with sources close to the singer claiming the replacement was “unethical and unprofessional”.

Lambert’s fans were immediately concerned about his seemingly unfair treatment and took to social media to complain. Soon after, Lambert set the record straight and simply attributed the alleged ‘fall out’ to “complex” business negotiations.

‘Aww I love you all very much,’ Lambert wrote in response to his fans’ concerns. ‘No beef tween @ddlovato & @nickjonas and me. Biz negotiations are complex- why do we care about the #rumors?’

Lovato also commented, claiming TMZ (who first reported the news) were inaccurate and that she loves Lambert.
