The CSI: Miami star plays a male stripper in the film franchise, but he had previous experience on his resume that gave him insider information about the sexy club world.

In an interview on U.S. chat show The Talk, he revealed, "I'm kind of embarrassed to say it now, but I thought it was really cool when I was 16 - I was a DJ in a female strip club in high school. They never asked how old I was.

"I had crates of records and knew when to play them and they managed to give me a job... Brandy and Destiny and Diamond would tip you out at the end (of the night) and I'd be preparing the right Prince record... I thought, 'Wow, what could be greater than this?'"

However, Rodriguez disclosed that the gig was not as exciting as it might seem, adding, "My eyes were like saucers, but actually it was a bit more into the dark side of that life (sic). It sounds more like, 'Oh, that must have been really cool', but it actually was a lesson more than it was anything special."
