Adele has banned herself from going to see Rihanna in concert at Wembley, incase she gets accidentally stoned and damages her vocal chords. Adele will be headlining Glastonbury the night after Rihanna’s Wembley gig and told the crowd at the O2 Arena on Saturday night she’d have to find another date to see the ‘Work’ singer.

“But I love her, honestly, all of that new album I love. I gotta try and see her.” During Friday evening’s show at the O2, Adele announced live on stage that she would be headlining the annual festival this year, closing the Pyramid Stage on the Saturday night.

The 27-year-old singer has to be extra careful with her vocal chords, since undergoing throat surgery in 2011 after a polyp on her vocal cord haemorrhaged. Speaking about what happened in 2012, Adele said that her voice just "went" while she was singing live on French radio.
