International superstar Adele broke down during her latest concert in Antwerp on Sunday (12 June) as she paid tribute to the victims of the Orlando shooting carried out in a gay nightclub over the weekend.

The Make You Feel My Love singer played her gig in Belgium less than 24 hours after America’s worst mass shooting on record and struggled to retain her composure as she addressed the tragedy.

Following the performance of two signature songs - Hello and Hometown Glory - Adele dedicated the show to those affected by the incident.

She said: "I’d like to start tonight by dedicating this entire show to everybody in Orlando and at Pulse nightclub last night.

"The LGBTQI community...they’re like my soulmates since I was really young so I’m really moved by it."

The 28-year-old mother-of-one then broke down in tears on stage, prompting a wave of applause from the audience.

Comedian James Corden also used his opportunity as Tony Awards host to pay tribute to the LGBT community.

He said: "On behalf of the whole theatre community and every person in this room, our hearts go out to all of the affected by this atrocity.

"All we can say is that you are not on your own right now. Your tragedy is our tragedy."
