Adele is expected to make her first public post-baby appearance at the Golden Globe Awards.

The 'Rolling in the Deep' hitmaker - who became a mother for the first time in October last year with partner Simon Konecki - is expected to attend the event on Sunday (13.01.13) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.

The British singer is up for an award for Best Original Song for her James Bond theme tune 'Skyfall', but faces stiff competition from Taylor Swift with her 'Hunger Games' song 'Safe and Sound' as well as Keith Urban's tune 'For You' from 'Act Of Valor', 'Someday' from 'Les Miserables' and Jon Bon Jovi's 'Not Running Anymore' from 'Stand Up Guys'.

Adele, 24, has kept a low profile since giving birth. She is also expected to be nominated for the Best Original Song accolade at next month's Oscars.

The singer - who has not performed live since becoming mum - is rumoured to perform 'Skyfall' at the Oscars, which is lining up a tribute to the spy franchise, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year.

Adele is no stranger to US award shows, after she swept the board at the Grammy Awards in 2012 taking home six accolades for her second album, '21'.
