Adele was in bed when she learned she had won a Grammy award.

The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer was awarded the prize for Best Song Written For Visual Media for her track 'Skyfall' - which was the theme for the James Bond film of the same name - but Adele was unable to attend the ceremony at Los Angeles' Staples Center on Sunday night (26.01.14) and she tweeted her disappointment she couldn't collect it in person.

Her Twitter post read: ''Wish I was there! Thank you for the grammy! (My 10th one! Whhaaa?) Have a wonderful night I'm in bed now, feeling very restless x (sic)''

The 25-year-old singer has been nominated for 13 Grammys during her career, and her latest win marks Adele's 10th trophy.

The singer/songwriter was up against Lana Del Ray's 'Young and Beautiful' for Baz Luhrmann's 'The Great Gatsby' and Coldplay's 'Atlas' from 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'.

Adele - who has 15-month-old son Angelo with her partner Simon Konecki - has now won an Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy Award for 'Skyfall'.
