Adele has reportedly been advised by Sir Elton John to accept a huge Las Vegas residency offer.

The 'Skyfall' hitmaker could earn at least $40 million for a long-term run similar to Britney Spears' upcoming shows, and the 'Rocket Man' legend giving her guidance.

An insider told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: ''Stacks of Las Vegas casinos are desperate to get Adele on billboards as a headliner in this town.

''The highest figure being touted is $40 million but it could be even higher. Elton's been a really good friend to her and they've been Skypeing to share parental advice.

''But he is a businessman too, and has been telling Adele Vegas residency could secure a really good future for her family.''

As well as helping support her fiancé Simon Konecki and their son 12-month-old son Angelo, a residency would draw comparisons to the likes of Elvis Presley and Rod Stewart, placing the 'Rolling in the Deep' singer in legendary company.

The source added: ''It would mean she would join the ranks of legends including Rod Stewart, Celine Dion and Elvis Presley who all made fortunes out of playing there.''
