Looks like Vinnie Chase, Turtle, Eric, Ari and Johnny Drama are getting the old gang back together. According to Jerry Ferrara, who plays the street-smart Turtle, the Entourage movie is officially a goer despite stories of unrealistic money demands.

Entourage castThe Boys Are Back! Entourage Movie Is Confirmed

"I am proud to announce the #Entourage movie is officially a GO! Have to thank @wbpictures  and @HBO for all the support to make this happen!" he tweeted on Monday.

Ferrara had sounded optimistic earlier in the day during an interview with Wendy Williams, saying, "It's looking good. It's looking real good. It could be closed today. I could go look at my phone right now, and it's done. It's real close. We're hoping to shoot in January."

Series creator Doug Ellin confirmed the news soon after, tweeting a photograph of himself with the original cast and writing, "It's a go. love you all."

There had been fears the movie would fall apart after Mark Wahlberg - who produced the original show - said it was "greed" that brought negotiations to a halt.

When asked when the movie would be coming out, Wahlberg said: "As soon as them guys stop being so greedy. It's one of those things where if the movie is a success, then we'll get to make a lot more of them and everybody will make a lot more money."

Entourage movieJeremy Piven [L] Will Film The Entourage Movie During A Break From 'Mr Selfridge'

According to Yahoo Movies, it was rumored that both Ferrara and Adrian Grenier - who plays actor Vincent Chase - had been seeking larger fees after Jeremy Piven was given a bigger cut. Anyone familiar with Piven's performances as fearsome agent Ari Gold will know why.

Entourage, which ran for eight seasons, chronicles the acting career of Vincent Chase, a young A-list movie star who moves to Los Angeles from Queens, New York, with his childhood friends. It deals with male friendship and real life situations in modern-day Hollywood.

The show is known for his huge array of guest stars, including Christina Aguilera, Kanye West, Tom Brady, Jessica Alba and a particularly funny cameo from Gary Busey.

Despite the drama, Deadline reports that the film wasn't actually scheduled to start filming until around January anyway, while Piven is on a break from ITV series Mr Selfridge.

As well as the dispute over pay, Warners was also adamant that budget stay at $30 million and would not go ahead if the picture doesn't meet the mid-January deadline to remain eligible for the 20% tax credit it got from California Film Commission program earlier this year.
