The Fatal Attraction filmmaker will take charge of writer A.S.A. Harrison's 2013 book, about a scorned woman (Kidman) who plots her husband's murder after discovering he is having an affair.

Captain Phillips and The Hunger Games screenwriter Billy Ray has been hired to pen the script, while Kidman and her Blossom Film partner Per Saari will produce with Lyne, according to Deadline.com.

Silent Wife marks Lyne's first major project since 2002's Unfaithful. He has also been attached to another thriller, Back Roads, based on the 1999 book by Tawni O'Dell, since earlier this year (15).
