In news that will come as a disappointment to many fans of the genre, it has been reported that ABC and Marvel are not going ahead with their planned 'Agents of SHIELD' spin-off starring season 2 favourites Barbara 'Bobbi' Morse and Lance Hunter, played by Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood.

Adrianne Palicki and Nick BloodAdrianne Palicki and Nick Blood won't have their own show any time soon

According to Deadline, the idea had been for the untitled show to follow on from events in the second season of 'Agents of SHIELD', but the proposal had left fans divided over the thought of taking some of the strongest new characters away from the main 'SHIELD' series.

However, Cinema Blend has speculated that the series could simply be on a temporary hold, to be revived at a later date. So viewers may still get their chance to see the ex-husband-and-wife duo Lance and Bobbi appear in their own show one day. Were you looking forward to it?

Meanwhile, 'Agents of SHIELD', which has suffered a drop in viewing figures this year after debuting to 17 million back in September 2013, has - yes, you guessed it - been renewed for a third season, and the well-received 'Agent Carter', starring Hayley Atwell, will return for a second season.
