R&B star Akon allegedly owes a contractor more than $35,000 (£21,000) for work to his mansion.

The star is currently upgrading his home in Georgia, but staff at Durable Steel Structures have filed a lien against him, claiming they are owed $36,765 (£22,978) for previous work.

They are refusing to install a glass floor feature until the bill is settled, according to Tmz.com.

In 2012, a contractor claimed he was owed $51,941 (£32,463) for work to the same property.
