Fact: Australian actor Alan Dale has landed a last-minute role on the star-studded Hollywood adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The former Ugly Betty star will appear as a detective on the verge of retirement in the forthcoming blockbuster, starring Daniel Craig as journalist Mikael Blomkvist. Director David Fincher is already nearing the end of production for the project, which is based on the first novel in late author Stieg Larsson's crime trilogy.
