Alanis Morissette plans to mark the 10th anniversary of her smash-hit debut album JAGGED LITTLE PILL by releasing an acoustic version.
The Canadian-born singer, who recently became an American citizen, has teamed up with the landmark album's producer/cowriter GLEN BALLARD to re-record tracks like YOU OUGHTA KNOW and IRONIC.
The new album will be released exclusively through America's Starbucks coffee house chain on 13 June (05) - exactly 10 years to the day after the original release of Jagged Little Pill.
It will hit traditional retail outlets a month later (JUL05).
Jagged Little Pill has become one of the 1990s' most successful albums, selling 30 million copies worldwide. It's the bestselling debut ever by a female artist.
Morissette also plans to tour acoustically this summer (05) to promote the album.
The singer will also release a greatest hits album at Christmas (05).
