Alexa Chung is launching her own fashion line.

The British TV presenter - who is well known for her style choices and has previously had a Mulberry bag named after her - claims she has nothing to lose by starting her own collection as few people would believes she is involved with it anyway.

She told Japan's Numero magazine: ''In this current era of celebrity no one believes you actually design the stuff anyway, even though I sketch everything myself.

''So if it sucks I can say I had nothing to do with it, and if it's really good I can say 'Here are the drawings, it's all my own work!' ''

Alexa has previously worked with Madewell on a collection and fronted campaigns for Superga and Maje.

A spokesperson confirmed she was looking into the idea, but nothing has been finalised as yet.

In addition to her presenting and fashion work, Alexa has also ventured into acting, recently filming a Cameo role in 'Gossip Girl'.
