Alexa Chung has signed a deal with cosmetics brand Eyeko.

The 29-year-old TV presenter has collaborated with the independent brand to create her own eye make-up range and insists she's been involved in the creative process since her first meeting with founders Max and Nina Leykind.

She told WWD: ''Maybe it was the hangover, but my head was loosened up and I came up with at least 50 things. If something excites me or I'm inspired by something, loads of ideas fall out of my head.

''It's a creative relationship I send images and different inspirations to Max and Nina and we go from there. It's quite free form at the moment.''

The collection of eye make-up essentials, to be released in November, includes a $45 waterproof mascara and eyeliner kit which will be sold in over 1000 Eyeko stores in addition to Selfridges, Space NK and Sephora.

Alexa also hailed eye make-up as her beauty necessity, claiming she can't live without eyeliner.

She joked: ''Liquid liner is my saviour, other people like other things to feel like they look normal, but for me, I'm pretty much naked without my eyeliner on. It's my comfort blanket. I penned the book with the eyeliner!''

Alexa is set to reveal her style tips in new book 'It', released on September 5 in the UK and October 29 in the US.
