All Saints are back, 19 years after their first single. The 90’s girl group, who were known for their baggy combat trousers, are now all grown up and will release their first single in nine years, ‘One Strike’ next month.

‘One Strike’ is the lead single from the girls’ fourth studio album Red Flag, due out in April. Back in the day All Saints sold 12 million records, scored five number one singles and scooped two Brit Awards.

But a lot has changed since the group’s 90s heyday. All five original members, Melanie Blatt, Shaznay Lewis and sisters Nicole and Natalie Appleton are back and their new single sees then dealing with some very personal issues.

Speaking to The Mirror, Shaznay admitted that ‘One Strike’ was about Nicole's divorce from Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher. "The lyrics came from somewhere very real. Nic was going through a lot of things at that time. That was at the forefront of my mind because it was the heaviest thing going on.”

“We spoke for hours and hours on the phone,” Nicole added. The girls, who were also known for their explosive rows, where also quick to point out that any bad blood is behind them. "I just missed being with the girls," Natalie said.

"It makes us happy. Listen, if you can work with your favourite people, then why not? I have such a good time and I spend more time laughing and having fun than I do working.” ‘One Strike’ is released on February 26th, followed by Red Flag on April 8th.
