Amal Clooney doesn't take her style ''too seriously''.

According to designer Giambattista Valli - who created outfits for the brunette beauty for her wedding to actor George Clooney in September last year - the human rights lawyer has the ''hugest sense of humour'' when it comes to her wardrobe.

He told The Sunday Times newspaper's Style magazine: ''You would have to meet her privately to know just how much more there is to her.

''Her curiosity, her boundless passion, but also that she has the hugest sense of humour with the way she dresses. She enjoys it but she doesn't take it too seriously. I adore her.

''You know intellectual is a state of mind, not the way you dress. The most intellectual women I have ever met in my life just want to have fun when it comes to their clothes.''

Amal, 37, has also previously gushed over her partnership with Giambattista and confessed she has loved getting to know the designer as much as she loves wearing his stunning creations.

She said: ''I love the femininity and elegance of his clothes and the daring silhouettes. And he is so warm and passionate about what he does. He is all heart as a designer and a person.''

Giambattista also famously dressed Rihanna in a voluminous bubblegum pink gown at this year's Grammy Awards and the 'Rude Boy' hitmaker loved sporting his quirky creation on the red carpet.

She said at the time: ''I'm wearing Giambattista Valli [from his] new collection. I saw this dress on the Internet and I just fell in love with it.''
